Andrew C. Sloss serves as Director at Merit Advisors, providing economic development consulting and site selection services to clients nationwide. Mr. Sloss brings over 12 years of experience, six years of which were with a Big 4 accounting firm, with researching, analyzing, negotiating and securing valuable economic development incentives These include incentives such as tax abatements, tax credits, forgivable loans, cash grants, training incentives, property tax abatements, sales and use tax refunds, location-based incentives, statutory credits, and many others.
Andrew’s duties include negotiation of complex economic incentives packages public and private clients; economic development and incentive planning as part of the site selection process, researching and identifying economic incentive opportunities for clients looking to relocate, expand and consolidate operations across the country; securing state and federal employment and training program, tax credits and enterprise zone programs.
Andrew has authored several articles for The Journal of Multi-State Taxation and Incentives and served as a presenter at several industries and economic development functions across the country. He has a Juris Doctorate from William Mitchell College of Law; a master’s degree from Crown College and a Bachelor of Science Degree from South Dakota State University.
